Great Spirit, Almighty Healer and Creator of all things, with humbled hearts we unite together to send up many thanks. We thank you for the gift of life and the blessings you have bestowed upon us. May we understand them and use them as we should. We thank you for our Elders that provide us with wisdom and life’s lessons. May we honor them with the deepest respect. We thank you for our children that bring us innocence and lessons long forgotten. We thank you for your forgiveness and guidance when we stray from our path. We thank you for the paths created for each of us.We ask for continued healing for those that are suffering from diverse diseases, disorders and ailments to our aging bodies. For those that have lost loved ones, we ask for your strength, comfort, peace and love be given to them. We ask for strength, guidance and peace be given to those that have crossed over into the Spirit World. We ask for those things that are hidden to be shown during this political time so we may be able to make correct and informed decisions. We ask for an end to greed and lust of power in our governments. We ask for a time of peace without materialism, and true equality where no person is greater than the other. We are war-weary, and ask for an end to war and to bring our sons and daughters back home. We ask for this generation to provide a strong foundation for our children to build upon. We need a time of complete change in our way of thinking so that we learn to rely more on you than upon ourselves. We ask for and end to the pollution of Father Sky and the life blood of Mother Earth as it flows from the mountaintops to the seas below. We ask for more of your children to awaken and begin to take care of our Earth Mother and replant where we need to.

We thank you for the many prayers answered. We understand that prayers are answered in their time and we will keep the faith in knowing that they will be. We thank you for our relations that provide us with the strength we need each day. We thank you for our animal friends and ask for their protection. We thank you for visions given to some. May they take those and bring the message to those that are in need

The Striped Field Mouse and Mongoose

I have an entire family for Striped Field Mice living in the undergrowth below my bird feeding station. I put out this avocado which was not edible, and looks who the first creature was to find it. He was outwitted though, as the resident Mongoose stole it away from him.

These little field nice are so tame that they run under my feet when I am replenishing the food in the bird feeding station.

I love having the Mongoose around as it means that he keeps the snakes at large.
