inHave you ever wanted to grow your own mushrooms?
This Mushroom farm, which is housed in a fully bio-degradeable box is so easy.
The box is filled with straw which is in a plastic bag. The straw is innoculated with the Oyster Mushroom spore. There are 2 holes in three sides of the box, and the plastic is perforated here. The mushrooms appear at first as pin-heads, they rapidly grow on 5 days to matruity. From pin-head stage a little water needs to be sprayed daily. When ready harvest and eat.
You can expect 3 – 4 flushes per box producing 3 to 4 kilos of Oyster Mushrooms, which retail at R90-00 per kilo.
