A long time ago in the early 1990’s I bought my first house in a brand new development. You know a place where the dozers had wiped the landscape clean and then everything was re-sodded. Well everyone took to chemicals for the lawns to try and green them up. I went a different way because I was watching this natural gardening guy on PBS. One of the things he recommended was earthworms, he said just go to the bait store, buy a container and put them in your yard.
So I did, I had the best green thick grass on my block!
My neighbors would come over and see the worms on the sidewalk occasionally and make comments to the effect “I haven’t seen any worms in my yard.”
I would tell them I put them there. Easy.

Sounds like the neighbors were “Green” with envy. Well done. I always say it looks like the plants are on steroids when grown with the worm castings 🙂
