Glad to be able to match which bugs don’t like which herbs. Lately I have noticed that on the porch I keep my plants that the bugs aren’t being as much of a problem for me when I’m outside. I think it also helps that the dragonflies are out again so they eat a lot of the flying insects too.

oh yes the Dragonfly is a great predator. Encourage the birds as well 🙂

We have both. We live in a forest so we have our share of wildlife. Just yesterday a dragonfly got inside our screen porch and I had to get it out. I love dragonflies so much. They are so pretty and come in all colors. This particular one was a lovely green.

I love Dragonflies too 🙂 They are the fastest flying insect. They also hold a lot of symbolism if you are into that 🙂

I do love the meanings of things. I believe in spirit animals and think the dragonfly is mine. But who really knows. I didn’t know they were the fastest flying. That’s pretty cool.

Thanks for posting this- good info! We have a serious Argentine ant problem here in San Francisco.
Being an organic gardener & a beekeeper, it’s often difficult to find natural solutions for pest problems that won’t harm or repel my bees. I’ve used a dilution of peppermint & pennyroyal in water around some of the plants the ants are trying to overtake. So far so good!

good luck, let me know how it turns out. I am the same I have a mighty Argentine ant problem as well. Here in the Winter they seek higher ground and have now infested my scanner/printer 😦

They infest everything here, indoors & outdoors. I’ve used a combo of the pennyroyal-peppermint dilution AND a castille soap spray in our tomato planter & a few succulent containers, and it seems to be working.
Besides that, my partner likes to flood them out with the hose, & then take the blow torch to them. 😀

Happy days getting rid of ants 🙂 I have had some success with a lemon juice and vinegar, as well as talc powder

Cool, I will try those methods in other areas & see how they work. I have no sympathy for the ant. 😉
