😀 Jasmine Oil is normally processed this way as it takes so many thousand flowers to yield a little oil. This method is called “enfleurage” 🙂

Very interesting. I never knew that. Jasmine is a very light scent so I’m not surprised it takes so many flowers. I’m a big tea person so when I looked up how to make essential oils I found it was a very similar process to making iced tea only with oil. You put more herb in if you want a strong “brew” so to speak instead of letting the same herbs “steep” longer.

yes exactly, a tincture of sorts 🙂

Yeah. I was surprised how simple the process actually was to me but maybe that is because of my experience with tea.

It is so true that old things are always simple. Maybe that’s why I love more things rooted in ancient tradition. I think in this modern day of fast and complex things we need to slow down and things like creating our own oils can help us do that.

exactly 🙂 just make sure you know the properties of the oils first, like which one make you sleep and which ones make you wide awake 🙂 lol

Yes. I do know most of them and can look them up if needed. I have been reading up on this stuff pretty much since I started up with paganism which was about 9 years ago. There is still so much to learn too!
