This little “Ballerina” is also known as

Fuchsia magellanica, she  extends as far as the southern tip of South America, occurring on Tierra del Fuego in the cool temperate zone, but the majority are tropical or subtropical.

She is one of the easiest Fuchsias to grow and is covered with these tiny Ballerina flowers for at least 8 months of the year.   She also trains up as a standard very easily. This is the time of the year that we should be taking cuttings and rooting them in normal potting soil. She is always a delight a twilight, as her flowers become luminescent.

Fuchsias are popular garden shrubs, and once planted can live for years with a minimal amount of care.
